The Past is Prologue is the first solo effort from Blackout Beat Production Company producer and song writer Marcos Garibay. Important moments in time are colorfully painted on a Latin canvas that incorporates elements of Merengue, Bachata, Flamenco, Kizumba, 3Ball, and Dance Hall, over percussion foundations that draw inspiration from Timbaland and The Neputunes. Marcos assembled a unique and extremely talented group of musicians to help bring his vision to life: his brother Armando Garibay (the other half of The Blackout Beat) and his band The Circus House, Jillian Grutta, Felicia Gallegos Pettis, Lara Gallegos, Mia B., Emmett Arthur Collins III, and James Hurtado. The album explores the past, present and future while exposing a mainstream audience to a new fusion sound that carries The Blackout Beat's signature. The Past is Prologue will be released as a special box set on June 28th, 2014.

Dance Intermission Remix Music Video

“Clearly, The Circus House is an expression of a deep love for pop-infused dance music. “Flesh” features killer electro pop equally as fitting for sweating it out on the dance floor as flesh licking in the hot tub.”

The Denver Post

Coming from the Denver production camp The Blackout Beat, The Circus House has been produced by Armando Garibay, with lyrics and melodies by Jillian Grutta and Anna Smith.  Sean Cullition on the saxophone and Derick Bozich on drums complete the band. The Circus House is a dance floor ready space maker that takes the listener to the outermost reaches of the popuniverse (and beyond.) Get out your seat ladies and gentlemen....the circus is in town.

The Circus House (full album) - 2012

Only a year after the release of the acclaimed TBA album, The Blackout Beat has returned with The Circus House.  Recorded over the span of two years, The Circus House is an eclectic mix of Electronic Pop that takes the listener to the outermost regions of the Pop universe.  The album combines genres into a sound that has an 80's Pop personality with a futuristic dance thump.

Mysterious (full album) - 2012

Mysterious is the bold debut of Denver native Emmett Collin's fresh take on the R&B genre. Collins teamed with Denver production duo The Blackout to create a sound that pays homage to late 90's R&B (think Timbaland, Aaliyah & Ginuwine) while at the same time remains new, original and free of the radio format.

To Be Announced (full album) - 2011

Produced entirely by Armando Garibay, TBA is a high energy genre bending set aimed to reinvent the Blackout Beat sound. While The Revolution was comprised of Latin and Reggaeton beats, TBA is laced with deep electronic tones aimed for the dance floor while still carrying the Blackout Beat's signature Pop platform. Influenced by electronic music, Armando wanted to create a sound that combined the thump and atmospheres of Electronica with the songwriting and melodies of Pop songs. The album ranges from the deep synths of Controlling Me to the emotional Pop/Electronica ballad, Fade Away.
